A Long Strange Trip

I presently live in Tokyo and work as a Computer Systems Professional.  Growing up in Texas, lived in New York, and now in Tokyo.  The photo above was taken shortly before my departure from New York to Tokyo.

I enjoy photography and am working to get my photos posted in my web galleries.  Some of them are linked to from my blog pages.  I currently use a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 18-200mm AF-S DX VR lens.

Before moving to Tokyo, I used to fly a lot and am a Single/Multi-Engine rated Private Pilot with about 900 hours total time.

One of my hobbies is playing with Solaris.  I’ve been working with Sun hardware and operating systems since 1988 and it was love at first sight.

I’ve worked for a large mainframe software company, various Wall Street firms, computer companies (Sun Microsystems was one of them), telecommunications, and Internet commerce.
